Do you mean the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan? I find these books rather good. There are better books out there, but the plot is long and interesting.

Yes the Wheel of Time series i have to say is not the best but still very good. I decided to pick this one becouse it is one of the most well known good books.

My favorite charter would be Mat.
